Dear AZ NIGP Members,
November, Here we go! Time to eat turkey, gather with family and scream at our TV’s over football games!
Our 36th Annual Regional Conference and Vendor Expo, HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK FOR PROCUREMENT, was a grand salami. Our Keynote Speaker, Marianne Renner set the tone for the day. Michael and his Regional Conference Committee put together a great conference including sessions that will take your procurements to the next level. We sold out all the vendor booths for the Expo. The Expo was well attended. It was a great opportunity for public sector end users to interact with multiple vendors in one setting. We are especially grateful to our Grand Slam and Lunch Sponsor, 1GPA and all our other sponsors for their generosity. Thank you to everyone who made the day such a World Serious Event!
As we look forward, I’m thrilled to welcome our newly elected members for 2026. Please help me welcome Diana Landeros from the Town of Queen Creek as the incoming Vice President and Marisa Lucero with the Arizona Dept of Child Safety as the incoming Secretary. Michael Greene, “The Voice of an Angel” was confirmed as your 2026 President and Jesse Atoigue will continue to serve as your Treasurer. Also, want to thank Lisa Goodman, our 2025 Secretary and Haydee Nora, outgoing Past-President for their efforts this year to make this the outstanding chapter that it is. I am honored to serve as Past President next year and am happy to turn the keys over to Michael as our President for his fresh approach. I’m excited about all of our new leadership and I am confident that their contributions will further strengthen our organization.
Our last Chapter Training Meeting for this year is the
December Chapter Luncheon on December 9th at
December Holiday Training and Awards Meeting at the Doubletree by Hilton Phoenix/Mesa, 1011 West Holmes Mesa, AZ 85210. If you served on a committee, please plan on attending the luncheon so you can receive your committee certificate and gift. Our own State Procurement Administrator, David Steuber will be the Keynote Speaker for this festive event!
If you are interested in chairing or co-chairing a committee for next year, please email
Michael Greene with your interest. Our chapter needs volunteers so do not hesitate to step up. Trust me, you will get back so much more than you give.
One last plug for the Copper Chapter RVTS. Crank the volume up to ELEVEN and come jam with the Copper Chapter because on November 5, 2025, the Copper Chapter is hosting THE BEST ROCK N’ ROLL-THEMED REVERSE VENDOR TRADE SHOW! Please consider hosting a table at the Tucson Convention Center and inviting your vendors to attend by visiting
Copper Chapter for more information.
As always, remember to check out the calendar on our website to register for upcoming NIGP Courses and professional development opportunities. Please reach out to me anytime

In the spirit of the season of gratitude, I also want to take a final moment to acknowledge all our members for the continued passion and dedication you bring to the public profession every day. Together, we are building something remarkable, and I’m deeply thankful to all you do as members and volunteers of this great organization of ours. Being active in our NIGP Chapters in Arizona is just another great tool in your procurement toolbox! Happy Thanksgiving and my very best you and your families, everyone.
